(New York, NY) March 27, 2012 – Noah Breslow, Chief Operating Officer of On Deck, the technology platform that connects Main Street directly to capital, has been selected to speak at two conferences this week, the Information Management Network’s 10th Annual Alternative Investment Summit and Bank Innovation 2012.
At the Information Management Network’s 10th Annual Alternative Investment Summit, Breslow will be part of a panel, entitled “Business and Consumer Credit Origination in a Web 2.0 World,” alongside Brock Black, CEO of Lendio, Jeff McCarthy, Managing Director of Lending Club Advisors and Kathryn Petralia, COO, Co-Founder of Kabbage. Focused on exploring how technology is increasing access to alternative forms of business and consumer credit, the discussion will highlight how broad adoption of these new solutions are opening opportunities for institutional investors.
Breslow will also participate in a panel at Bank Innovation 2012, a conference focused on the latest trends at the intersection of technology and banking. The panel, entitled “What is Banking Today? A Debate on the Future,” also includes Shawn Budde, Co-Founder & Chief Risk Officer, ZestCash, Dan O’Malley, Founder & CEO, PerkStreet Financial, and Jeff Stephens, Founder, Tribed and CBC. Focused on exploring what successful startups tell us about the future of banking, the discussion will seek to challenge conventional wisdoms about the industry.
“At On Deck, we are using technology to change the way small businesses access capital,” stated Breslow. “I hope to shed some light on how embracing technology can help banks and other third parties more efficiently deliver capital to both businesses and consumers alike.”
As the first employee of On Deck, Noah has overseen the strategic direction for product development, marketing and operations since 2007. Breslow has substantial experience in launching and scaling venture-backed software companies. Prior to On Deck, he served as Vice President of Marketing and Product Management for Tacit Networks, a leading provider of enterprise IT products. Breslow helped steer the company from customer trials through its growth to over 100 employees, and its successful sale to a public company.
About On Deck
Launched in 2007, On Deck Capital uses data aggregation and electronic payment technology to evaluate the financial health of small businesses and to efficiently deliver capital to a market underserved by traditional bank loans. Through the On Deck Capital platform, millions of small businesses can obtain affordable loans to meet their daily operating and long term goals. The company’s proprietary platform looks deeper into the health of small businesses, focusing on the overall business performance, rather than the owner’s personal credit history. The On Deck system also provides a critically needed mechanism for commercial institutions to efficiently reach and serve the historically underserved Main Street small businesses market.
On Deck Capital is financed by some of the nation’s leading venture capital firms, including SAP Ventures, Contour Venture Partners, First Round Capital, Khosla Ventures, RRE Ventures and Village Ventures.
