Honor Box Chiropractic Cracks the OnDeck Customer Spotlight Club

Dr. Shiraki opened Honor Box in 2013, after years of practice in Honolulu. The now thriving office is located on the north side of Pearl Harbor. Five years ago however, Honor Box was still a dream and Dr. Shiraki was coming up short on the financing required to make it happen.
“In 2013, I really wanted to move my practice to Pearl City and there was a perfect office space available there at the time,” Dr. Shiraki remembers. “I had a shoestring budget and the move, new lease agreement, and build-out costs were running close to $100,000. My savings, a business line of credit from my bank, and an SBA loan covered just over half of that. It was a tough moment. I didn’t have enough capital and I had exhausted what I thought were all financing options.”
Soon after, as Dr. Shiraki considered his dilemma, he noticed a piece of mail from OnDeck.
